About Us

High academic standards are well-established within the current framework at Abraham Lincoln through research-based practices. Teachers provide exemplars for students and expect them to revise their work based on feedback using the language of PAISD Literacy, Numeracy, and Science Initiative standards. All content areas are inquiry-based and provide students with the opportunity to utilize hands-on activities that involve collecting, analyzing, and representing data. Student work is a compilation of various assessments to include products, portfolios, performance assessments, reflective journals/logs, self-assessments, peer reviews, and authentic projects. Technology is incorporated through every facet of every content area.

The instructional strategies that teachers employ provide all learners with challenging and engaging activities that allow them to stretch their minds. Fun, high impact strategies are incorporated in the lessons to motivate students and allow for differentiation while adhering to the concepts and skills required. Students are regularly encouraged to deliver oral presentations to illustrate knowledge of concepts being taught.
